Our Objective:
To support our fellow Prostate Cancer patients
their families & friends, improve community awareness of the
incidence of Prostate Cancer, & encourage potential patients to seek
early detection and treatment. |

Formation:
The Group was formed in
August 2001, by group of Prostate Cancer Survivors to support men
and their families coping with a diagnoses of Prostate Cancer &
other Prostate related problems.
We started with 14 members
on our mailing list 2001 but that has grown to 220 at the end of
2007 that are receiving our Newsletters relating to all Prostate
Problems. |

Activities:
The Group holds bi monthly
meetings on the 3rd Wednesday at 2.30 pm, of the even months, except
December meetings, which are on the 2nd Wednesday of that Month.

Statewide
Activities page.
The group also produces
a bi monthly news sheet which is distributed with the Queensland Chapter
Newsletter on the odd months. Attendees have had all treatment options
and are willing to talk to anyone who is going through the decision,
making process concerning treatment.
Venue: Cancer Council Queensland 169 Aumuller St Bungalow
(Cairns).
Meeting dates: Bi-Monthly on 3rd
Wednesday of Even months, at 2.30 pm except October 11 am.
