The support group was former in 2009 under the banner of The Cancer Council Hunter Region.

In 2010 we affilated with The Prostrate Cancer Foundation Of Australia, our main focus of the group is to offer imformation ,support and awareness to the general public about prostrate cancer.

Meeting dates and guest speakers are advertised in the local paper and on the community radio. Members recieve flyers and reminders by e/mail and phone calls before meetings.

Leaflets, books and DVDs about proublems associated with prostrate cancer are available to borrow from our library at our meetings. As our group has just recently been formed we have not got into the fund raising as yet.

Our meetings are open to all members of the public and we encourage wives or partners of our group to attend our mettings as well.

Dates: Our meetings are on the 4th thursday of each month.
Times: From 3.00pm to 4.30pm.
Venue: At Cessnock Supporters Club in the Auditorium.
Free afternoon tea is provided.
