Formation:
The Gladstone group was formed in October 2005 by
a group of men who have been diagnosed with and treated for Prostate
Cancer. We provide an environment where a man who has been diagnosed
with Prostate Cancer can talk with other men who are going through,
or have been through, the same thing. They can talk one on one, over
the phone or in person, or talk sociably at a group get together. |

Activities:
We hold monthly meetings,
and for 2008 we will be meeting on the 2nd Thursday of each month at
7.00 pm at the Gladstone Library Meeting Room in Goondoon Street. We
try to keep the meetings as informal as possible and try to have a
presentation of some sort at each meeting. Afterwards we enjoy a
cuppa and a casual conversation, usually relating our experiences
with newly diagnosed men.
We recognise that our
partners and our families have needs as well and encourage them to
attend our meetings also.
