Activities:
At our meetings we either have a guest speaker or show a DVD on topics of interest.
Meetings are attended by 65 -70 people including partners and we actively encourage men to bring their partners. Morning tea is provided giving opportunity for participants to share experiences and for newcomers
to gain more information. Publications from the Cancer Council and other organisations are available at each meeting.
Brochures and information cards are distributed to GP's, urologists, hospitals, medical centres, chemists, libraries and other appropriate outlets thoughout the region.
Meetings are notified in free weekly community newspapers and on ABC radio. As part of our awarness program we provide guest speakers for community groups and service clubs.
In addition to meetings, members of the Group Committee are available to provide telephone contact and support for men coping with diagnosis and treatment, or for men and their partners just
seeking more infomation.
