Activities: Members are advised of upcoming meetings via normal mail. Advertisements are placed on the local Community notice board as well as in other strategic locations around the town.
Guest speakers are invited to each meeting. Where possible they are from local medical and allied health practices. However speakers have attended from most South Australian major hospitals delivering presentations on prostate cancer specific
treatment and operations. Meetings are open to wives and partners.
From its inception the group has been fully supported by the McLaren Vale & Districts War Memorial Hospital. The group meets in rooms provided by the hospital at no charge and since McLaren Vale has an
international reputation for wine production, all speakers are presented with a bottle of local produce courtesy of the hospital.
Meetings:
The group meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 7.00pm in Group Room 1 of the McLaren Vale & Districts War Memorial Hospital. Most meetings are finished by about 8.30pm |
