New progress in the development of liquid biopsies for prostate cancer

A liquid biopsy for cancer is a non-invasive test that looks for cancer cells or DNA. Important information about tumours can be gained by analysing tumour components found in samples such as blood or urine. Liquid biopsies are predicted to become very important in the future management of prostate cancer. Two recent studies have made important progress laying the groundwork necessary for developing prostate cancer liquid biopsies.
