Join us for a candid one-on-one conversation with Dr Sama Balasubramanian, Sexual Medicine Specialist at Sydney Men’s Health, as we explore the often-overlooked impact of prostate cancer treatment on sexual function, intimacy and wellbeing.
Around half of men with prostate cancer report an impact on their sexual function and wellbeing, with around 275,000 Australian men alive today after a diagnosis at some point over the past 40 years.
With experience in both metro and regional care, Dr Sama brings valuable insights into how grief, vulnerability, and silence can deeply affect recovery, and how breaking down those barriers is key to helping more men.
This session, hosted by Katie Clift during Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, opens up conversations about sexual wellbeing after a prostate cancer diagnosis and treatment, and how partners and healthcare teams can play a meaningful role in recovery.
