Zytiga, or Abiraterone Acetate, is an expensive drug used to treat advanced prostate cancer. In Australia, in 2013, Zytiga was included in the PBS list. Within the drug information leaflet, it is indicated that this drug is taken on an empty stomach. A group of researchers at the University of Chicago have conducted a study that indicates that this drug "is absorbed much more efficiently when taken with food".
