Emotional Distress After Prostate Cancer Diagnosis Full

A prostate cancer diagnosis is often shocking news that can lead to a period of intense emotional distress. This comes at the same time that important decisions need to be made regarding treatment, as well as a steep learning curve about the disease. Emotional distress has the potential to affect a man’s choice of cancer treatment. A new study published this year examined the effect of emotional distress on treatment decisions in men with localised prostate cancer.
