Makita Australia and Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA) have teamed up in the fight against prostate cancer this Father’s Day.

Makita Australia will donate $10 from the sale of specially marked 18V Mobile Stick Vacuum Kits to support PCFA’s support programs for Australian men affected by prostate cancer and their partners and families. A must for every tradesperson or home handyman, it is hoped that these vacuum kits will also create awareness of this critical men’s health issue and the toll that it can take on families.

Prostate cancer accounts for 30% of all cancer diagnoses in males with over 20,000 men diagnosed each year. Sadly, it kills 3,300 men each year - devastating statistics which Makita Australia wants to help change.

Associate Professor Anthony Lowe, PCFA Chief Executive Officer is delighted to be partnering with Makita Australia on this important fundraising and awareness campaign.
