We’re pleased to welcome Kate Eatts, who joined the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia in March as our new Community Engagement Manager for South Australia.

Driven by a passion for meaningful work and community impact, Kate was immediately drawn to PCFA’s mission.

“I'm really passionate about doing meaningful work, and the opportunity to drive awareness, strengthen community connections, and support vital research funding for prostate cancer is incredibly motivating to me.”

Born and raised in rural South Australia, Kate brings a strong understanding of the challenges in regional South Australia, along with a background in health and wellbeing, thanks to a career in Physical Education teaching.

“I’m particularly excited about the opportunity to contribute within my home state of South Australia and to give back to the community that helped shape me,” she says.

Recently, she worked in a community-focused role at a private school in Auckland, New Zealand, where she built strong skills in philanthropy, stakeholder engagement, communication, and program delivery.

Kate is really looking forward to connecting with men impacted by prostate cancer, their families and PCFA’s support groups around the state.

“My role is about making sure more people understand prostate cancer, and letting people know where to turn for support.”
