Salary Packaging

Salary packaging allows you to pay for certain expenses using your pre-tax salary, reducing your taxable income and the amount of income tax you pay.

As a registered health charity, PCFA offers all employees the opportunity to package up to $15,900 of their salary through Salary Packaging Plus for general living expenses. Additionally, employees can salary package up to $2,650 per year for dining out, hotel stays, accommodation, venue hire, and catering expenses.

Furthermore, if you have purchased a mobile phone, tablet, laptop, digital camera, or headphones/earbuds and use the device for work more than 50% of the time, you can salary package the entire cost.

Paid Parental Leave

Parental leave is available to support employees to balance their career and parenting and family responsibilities.

Employees who have completed at least 12 months of continuous service may access 14 weeks of paid parental leave for primary carers or two weeks of paid parental leave for secondary carers, inclusive of superannuation. Employees can also request this leave on part pay over longer periods.

Learning & Development Support

PCFA recognises that continuous learning is essential for personal and professional growth.

To support this, we offer a monthly learning series to foster ongoing development and knowledge-sharing, along with an individual learning budget of $1,500 per year for employees who have completed their probationary period to attend dedicated training programs.

Our learning and development opportunities encompass a wide range of activities, including formal training programs, workshops, seminars, conferences, on-the-job learning, coaching, mentoring, and interpersonal and leadership development

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is designed to support the wellbeing of our employees and their immediate families, ensuring they have access to the help they need when they need it.

Through our partnership with Access EAP, we provide confidential support to empower our team, encourage early intervention, and strengthen individual resilience, creating a positive and thriving workplace.

Work From Home

At PCFA, we support workplace flexibility while fostering teamwork, communication, and connection.

Our approach helps employees balance work with family and personal responsibilities while maintaining a positive workplace culture.

Generally, full-time employees are required to attend their designated PCFA workplace for at least three days per week, and part-time and casual employees for at least 50% of their hours, unless otherwise agreed in writing. This balance ensures we work effectively together while supporting individual needs.

Discretionary Time Off

PCFA aims to promote a healthy work-life balance for its employees by offering Time Off in Lieu (TOIL) as a flexible working arrangement. This allows employees who work additional hours beyond their standard schedule to take equivalent time off at a later date.

TOIL helps ensure that staff are recognised for their extra efforts while maintaining their well-being and productivity. By encouraging a balanced approach to work and personal life, PCFA fosters a supportive and sustainable work environment.
